Not at all. We designed the Series 4 specifically to solve the 'cleaning headache' of other fountains.
- The stainless steel tray is dishwasher safe (top rack).
- The wireless pump has no cords to thread through.
- The tank has wide curves and no hidden crevices for slime.
For optimal freshness and flow, we recommend changing the filter every 3-4 weeks.
If you have multiple pets or live in an area with "hard" water, you may want to change it closer to the 3-week mark to prevent mineral buildup.
Most likely not! We engineered the Series 4 to be whisper-quiet (< 20dB). It doesn't have that loud mechanical hum that scares sensitive pets.
Plus, the water flow mimics a gentle natural stream, which typically triggers curiosity rather than fear. Most pets take to it within the first 24-48 hours.
